What needed to change
Print workflows at The Adline Advertising Agency relied on legacy ASCII font formats that were incompatible with modern Unicode text editors. Converting Marathi content required manual re-typing character by character in the legacy font, a time-consuming process that slowed every print project.
The solution
What we built
We built AksharShift - a browser-based converter that takes Unicode Marathi input and outputs the equivalent text in Millennium Varun ASCII encoding. The conversion runs entirely in the browser with no server dependency, making it fast and available without an internet connection.

Pure browser-based JavaScript with a custom Unicode-to-Millennium-Varun character mapping table. No server required. Instant conversion. Copy-to-clipboard output for direct use in print software.
Outcome
